LasX provides laser cutting, etching, engraving and marking for flexible packaging, cartons, and labels. At PACK EXPO 2018 booth S-3942, LasX will introduce the SRTP (Sheet/Roll-to-Part) platform, the first laser material processing system to handle both roll and sheet formats. This full line will demonstrate the conversion of digitally printed material into finished parts using an integrated robotic platform.  The machine consolidates multiple work-in-process steps into a single process, controlled by LasX’s high-speed Proton laser controller and integrated tightly into B&R’s PLC control platform. See the SRTP at the LasX Booth S-3942 in the South Hall.

Makro Labelling North America, Booth S-4159, will feature an adaptive labeling machine built on the latest B&R track technology.  Securing bottle plates and necks with two synchronized ACOPOStrak systems, the Makro C Leap machine frees container and label formats from the constraints of conventional labeling machinery.

As Simone Marcantoni, a founding partner and Head of Makro Labelling’s Automation Department explains, “the C Leap is based on B&R’s ACOPOStrak technology, which replaces the traditional carousel.  The layout is two stacked circuits using ACOPOStraks. The shuttles of the lower circuit carry platforms that hold the bottles, while the upper circuits carry the caps.  The synchronized circuits move the bottles between the infeed and outfeed star wheels. The solution offers numerous advantages in terms of modularity.  It is possible to expand the track for additional labeling stations, increase the production rate by increasing the number of platforms, and change the pitch on the fly to handle different label sizes.” Visit Makro Labelling in Booth S-4159.
